EYFS Playground conduct
Thank you to the large majority of parents who respect the rules and routines, morning and afternoon, in the EYFS playground.
However, it has been noted that some parents are still blocking the classroom doors in the morning and therefore, preventing the children accessing their classrooms.
As a reminder, below are the rules that were shared at the beginning of the academic year.
To clarify, all parents need to stay behind the white line (morning and afternoon) until all the children are either in or out of their respective classrooms. Thank you for your cooperation with this matter.
Parents are respectfully asked the following:
- Please stay behind the white line whenever possible, to allow your child and other children to access the classrooms quickly and easily.
- Please do not block the entrances to the classrooms, as this hinders the morning routine for all involved. If the children see others still waiting in the playground they are not inclined to go in themselves, delaying each class' start-of-day.
- If you need to speak to your child's teacher for anything other than a passing comment, please be advised this is not the appropriate time to do so. Our teachers will happily meet parents to discuss any issues at a more suitable time of day. You are welcome to make an appointment either directly with a member of staff, or at the office.
You will appreciate that with the number of children and adults coming and going, by following these guidelines, we can ensure that the class routines can begin as efficiently as possible.
